Application of Delta VE series inverter in CNC machining center (5)

December 03, 2022

The deceleration time measured during deceleration from 590hz to 0hz is 5.1s, and the maximum bus voltage during deceleration is 740VDC. The figure is shown in Figure 5.

4 Conclusion

The CNC machining center has high control requirements for the main shaft. Firstly, it is required to realize wide-range stepless speed change based on the large torque and strong overload capability. Secondly, it is required to realize the fixed angle stop (ie, quasi-stop) in the automatic tool change action. It makes the machining center spindle drive system more difficult than the general variable frequency speed control system or small power AC servo system in circuit design and operation parameter setting. The acceleration and deceleration characteristics and positioning functions of the CNC spindle variable frequency drive project based on Delta's VE series high-performance inverters can fully meet the requirements of the machining center, and the cost performance is outstanding.
